The Fire TV Stick 4K is on sale for $39.99, which is $10 off its regular price of $49.99. This should come as no surprise because, these days, it is on sale at this price more often than it is at its regular list price. The same can’t be said about other Fire TV models because the Fire TV Stick 4K’s frequent sales is likely due to pressure from Roku being aggressive with the pricing of its budget 4K streaming devices. During the last 3 months, the Fire TV Stick 4K has been on sale at this price or less for two-thirds of the time and at its regular price for the other third. Wait for a better deal if you can, since this “sale” price is essentially the absolute most you should pay.
Target by my house had them on sale for $25. Picked up one as a spare.
Best Buy also had them on sale for $25 during their Black Friday in July sale this past weekend.
Best Buy and Target both had them at $24.99 thru yesterday, as well as the Cube for $79 and the other Fire sticks at $17.99, $22.99, etc.
Elias,
Side note to the the FTV4K sale price. I noticed today after CHECKING FOR UPDATES a RESTART and running SYNC AMAZON CONTENT from the Account & Profile Settings that the RECENTLY WATCHED row that has been buried in the updated Fire TV UI is now the top row on the Home Page. Looks like the new layout is ROW 1 – RECENTLY WATCHED, ROW 2 – SPONSORED CONTENT, ROW 3 – RECENTLY USED APPS, ROW 4 – NEXT UP FOR YOU. I checked on four (4) FTV4K devices and after running SYNC AMAZON CONTENT they all refreshed to this Home Page layout pattern. I don’t know if this is a new permanent Home Page layout, but I sure hope so.
Any chance the constant sale price signals new hardware?
