The 2nd gen stick is overpriced because the most Amazon would give you for a trade in is $18 but you need to send in a remote too, so by the time you buy a remote you’re paying more than the trade in value. Plus you have to hack the external storage to move apps. It’s definitely worth an extra $8 for the 3rd gen stick to get a remote and be able to move apps seamlessly to external storage.
Plus the 3rd gen stick is much more responsive than the second gen stick.
