The developer of Remote Mouse for Fire TV has released an iOS version of his popular app. The app replicates the features of the official Fire TV Remote app but adds one killer feature. That feature being the ability to use your iPhone or iPad as a touchpad to control a virtual mouse on your Fire TV or Fire TV Stick. Note that you need to buy and install the $1.99 Fire TV app on your Fire TV in order for the $0.99 iOS app to function.
Update
I’ve reached out to the developer and he has agreed to give anyone who already purchased the Android version a promo code to get the iOS version of the app for free. Shoot him an email at androidtouchdev [at] gmail.com to get your promo code.
Thank you androidtouchdev for the promo code! It’s great that you’re doing that.
… much awaited one, thanks!
Thanks for the post. This helped me to get a promo code for my Iphone.. Thanks again folks.
Any feedback on how this app works with sideloaded apps like the Xfinity TV Go that require a mouse for use?
Would live a detailed review of this product!
Just saw this post. Purchased this app via my Android phone. Emailed them yesterday regarding getting a promo code for iOS. We’ll see how long it takes them to respond. Thank you.
Developer is great! He emailed me the promo code and just updated the app for a keyboard. Have you guys checked out his app that lets you sideload an apk from your iPhone? It works really well.
This app works except for the fact that scrolling does not work consistently and in fact is more accurately described as non-functioning. I’m hoping this can be fixed soon.
Just following up. I emailed the developer and never got a response back. I’ll try again.
