Fire TV Edition Soundbar by TCL is on sale at a new all time low price — Just $112

The TCL Alto 8+ Fire TV Edition Soundbar is on sale for $122.90 $112.02. This is the new lowest price that this soundbar has ever been. With a list price of $199.99, you’re saving 39% 44% with this deal. Built into the soundbar are the exact same capabilities as a Fire TV Stick 4K, so you’re essentially paying around $75 for the soundbar components at this price point. From what I’ve been told, this TCL soundbar is better than the Nebula Fire TV Edition soundbar, although, I personally haven’t used either one. Both come with the newest version of Amazon’s Fire TV Edition remotes, if that’s important to you. While this is labeled as a 2.1 channel soundbar, the subwoofer (i.e., the “.1”) is built-in, as opposed to being a standalone speaker, so I wouldn’t expect this soundbar to blow you away with its performance. At $199.99 it’s overpriced, but at this sale price, it’s pretty attractive if you want to go one step above the speakers built into your TV, especially if you’re already in the market for a Fire TV Stick 4K.

Very tempting. My current Yamaha soundbar as been getting flaky, so I am tempted to get this. I wish it had the same SOC as the new box.

Just ordered one from Amazon U.K. For only £70 (equates to $91)

So can I use this as a home theater along with two echo studios?

    • I don’t think so. No Fire TV Edition device is listed as compatible with Echo Studio pairing. The Fire TV Stick 4K is compatible with the Echo Studio, so there is a chance the soundbars, which essentially have a Fire TV Stick 4K inside, will be compatible, but I wouldn’t count on it.

Elias how can you tell if a game is supported on this soundbar?

    • There is no sure-fire way to tell, but do the following:
Find the game listing on amazon.com and click the developer name (near the game title) to see a list of that developer’s apps. Then, in the left column, there should be a list that is titled “Fire Tv Model.” In that list, if it’s available, click “Fire TV Stick 4K” and see if the game you want remains listed when the page refreshes. If so, there is a very good chance that the game is compatible with the soundbar because the soundbars and the Fire TV Stick 4K share the same CPU/GPU.

I wonder how many of these TCL Fire Tv soundbars will be paired with TCL Roku Tv’s?
