Element’s 50″ and 55″ Fire TV Edition televisions have just gone on sale [Expired]

The middle two sizes of Element’s Fire TV Edition television have just gone on sale. The 50-inch size is $494.99, which is 10% off of its regular price. This is the second lowest price that size has been, with the lowest being when it was briefly available for $449.99. The 55-inch size is $566.99, which is 13% off of its regular price. The lowest price the 55-inch size has been was during Prime Day when it was $399.99, but that was a very limited doorbuster sale. The more common lowest price is $529.99.

    I think the TLCs with Roku built in are a better deal, as they are cheaper and have HDR. Not to mention very solid reviews from the various sites.

      The Element reviews are not that strong so that is why I wouldn’t consider one.

      I got the 49″ TCL 49s405 and couldn’t be happier for the price ($329, no tax, free ship). I haven’t had any problems with the interface whereas I see a large number of bad reviews on these Elements. It plays everything I can throw at it, except 4K H264 which was noted in the specifications.

      I also tried it on my computer and was amazed, although only 4K @ 30hz for now until I get a DP to HDMI 2.0a adapter that will get 4K @ 60 & 10/12 bit color.

    Yeah, they really need to implement hdr to stay competitive, even if it’s lower quality than the higher priced 4ktvs; ideally with Amazon Prime hdr.
