Amazon’s new Echo Show 15 is now available for pre-order. The $249.99 flagship Alexa device designed to be hung on a wall was announced in September but only this week became available to order. Amazon is also selling a tilting stand made for the Echo Show 15 for $29.99, if you prefer to place it on a table or countertop. There’s also a tilt and swivel stand for $39.99 that allows you to rotate the Echo Show 15 into a landscape or portrait orientation. Lastly, Amazon is also selling an under-cabinet mount for $49.99 that also allows for both orientations. Regardless of how you position the Echo Show 15, be sure to grab this 6-ft power cord extension if there isn’t a power plug within 5-ft of the device’s intended location. The Echo Show 15 and all mounts will be released on December 9th.
I’m excited for the Echo Show 15! I’ve had a Fire HD 8 mounted to my kitchen wall above the sink for the past few years and it comes in handy. I mounted it with a magnetic wall mount I found on Amazon and run the power cord under the cabinets with cable staples. I bought a 4’ cord in white so it blends it. I primarily use it to listen to audiobooks and watch TV while I cook and do the dishes, and keep it in Show Mode when not in use. It helps with making kitchen chores less tedious by distracting me with audio and video. The screen size of the Echo Show 15 is going to seem HUGE compared the the 8! I’m going to hold out until I can watch reviews on YouTube and hopefully it will go on sale for Prime Day.
