Disney brings direct-to-consumer subscription service to UK Fire TVs

Disney has just launched their new DisneyLife app and service on Amazon Fire TVs in the UK. The service allows UK residents to pay £4.99 per month for unlimited access to Disney movies and TV shows. The service also comes with live Disney Channel, Disney XD, and Disney Junior streaming on mobile devices, but unfortunately, live streaming is not supported in the Fire TV app. Oddly enough, the app is only available on Fire TV boxes and not on the Fire TV Stick. DisneyLife is not yet available in the US.

Just tried to download this, but it says it’s not compatible with my 1st Gen AFTV box.

  2. Scott Brooks says:

I would easily pay $5 a month for this. My daughter would love it on her iPad. Anyone know of a way to get this paid for and working? I have a VPN that I could install on my iPad.

  3. Mark says:

Just so you know this app is NOT compatible with the Fire TV. It states it in the description small print. Seems kind of pointless to me but Sky have the manopoly on television in the UK.
