Now that the Amazon Fire TV Stick Basic Edition is officially available in countries like Canada, region-specific streaming services are making their way into the Fire TV appstore. This morning, CraveTV brought their streaming library to the Fire TV platform by way of their new app. The service offers a large seletion of content which includes back catalogues from both HBO and Showtime. It’s available for $7.99 per month and comes with a 30-day free trial.
So this will not be available to US customers?
you can always install a VPN app if you are rooted and select a server in Canada…
But how do you get it on the Fire TV? It says that it can’t be bought due to geographical issues. How would a VPN help if you can’t even install the app?
You have to set up your router to connect to Canadian server or IP address from VPN provider. So your fire tv will connect theough your router which is connected to VPN server in Canada
I have a toshiba fire TV set up for Canadian viewing but I still can’t get the crave app. Why?
Did you find a way to do it? I am stuck with the same problem
Any idea when Australian services such as ABC iview and SBS on demand will become available for fire tv?
Now if only amazon support can manage to move my FTV2 onto my Canadian account, I may be able to actually find and install this…
I can’t get this to work. You are suppose to go to the website cravetv.ca/firestick to enter an activation code to be able to log in, but the website doesn’t load. Anyone else having this issue?
Same problem for me too. Have you found a solution to this problem. I just spent 70bucks thinking it would be worth it.
I’m happy to report, that over a month later, the cravetv.ca/firestick page still doesn’t load.
Ooooh, dang.. we’re dumbasses. The page is ACTUALLY: cravetv.ca/firetvstick
NOT: cravetv.ca/firestick
Good luck!
I, am unable to activate my amazon fire tv through, any of my apple devices. Because, the website keeps showing “Not Secure”. What do I do. I’m so frustrated….
Thank you for any help.
