CNN has announced that it will be launching a new streaming service early next year in Q1 2022, called CNN+. The service will launch in the US only, but the company is looking to eventually make the service available worldwide. The service is expected to compliment the cable network, as opposed to replacing it, by providing new personality-driven programming that is not available through the existing CNN linear channels. It doesn’t seem like a CNN+ subscription on its own, without a traditional paid TV subscription, will provide access to the live news channel. Pricing for the new streaming service has not been announced, but there will not be an ad-supported version at launch.
Note: Politically driven comments will be deleted.
Thank you!!
Word to the wise CNN, don’t.
Unless it’s going to be documentaries, films, and other long form journalism type shows it won’t be watched. Even then, just integrate these type of things into either HBO Max or Discovery+ after the merger. Make your current streaming service a more ideal product vs making a brand new one.
Well said. Agree.
Will be interesting to see if this gets bundled into a Premium HBO Max subscription.
All three subscribers will be thrilled… Regardless? AirPlay and Homekit for Fire TV Sticks and Cube, Elias? Like? Spam Amazon’s inbox everyday until they come to their senses and offer 110% guarantees…
Meh, I’d be interested (at the right price) if it had live CNN (same as cable), and CNN Int’l live, plus documentaries and films.
Too much competition, even with free live news offerings like CBSN, ABC News, NBC News, Al Jazeera, Sky News, etc.
You can already get a lot of this stuff I thought. Pretty sure I watched a couple of debates with the fire tv on CNN live and I haven’t paid for cable in about 8 years.
LOL…at this point I think I may relaunch myself as TechyChris +
Already have CNN channels in the fire tv live tv guide.
