CHRONO TRIGGER has just gone on sale for $6.99. That’s $3.00 off the regular price and is the first time the game has ever been on sale. This role-playing game was originally released on the SNES and is ranked among the best games of all time. This Fire TV port is an upgraded version that features updated controls, graphics, and sound. It also includes two additional playable dungeons that were not in the original release. CHRONO TRIGGER is compatible with all Fire TVs, Fire TV Cubes, and Fire TV Edition televisions, but is not compatible with Fire TV Sticks. You’ll need a game controller to play the game, as it’s not compatible with the Fire TV remote.
Why is this game not compatible with the sticks? They can use wireless game controllers too just like the old boxes, pendant and Cube. Is the real reason the sticks aren’t powerful enough? Will this game work on the Fire HD7 and HD8 tablets?
It’s not the best option but it’s legal. If you own the game.
Just put a emulators on your fire stick. I play up to PlayStation 1 on mine with the amazon controller.
Game emulators are legal…ROMs are more of a gray area, regardless of whether or not you own the game. It is not clear that it is legal to own a ROM of a game that you own a physical copy of. I’d hesitate to make this recommendation to people.
It is legal, at least in the US, to make a backup for archival purposes but you must make it yourself.
The grey area, at least from what I’ve read, is whether you can use it in an emulator.
