A new CBS Sports app has just been released for all Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick models. The app is compatible with both Fire OS 3 and Fire OS 5 so it works with both older 1st generation devices and newer ones. This CBS Sports app will be streaming the Super Bowl Live and for free, so it has arrived just in the nick of time for tomorrow’s big game. CBS will be broadcasting all of the Super Bowl ads live for the first time, so if you’re not interested in the game, you can use the app to tune in for the great ads.
There was a big concern that the app would not be compatible with older 1st-gen Fire TVs and Fire TV Sticks since CBS’ only other Fire TV app, CBS All Access, is only compatible with the 2nd-gen Fire TV and newer Fire TV Stick with Voice Remote bundle. Bravo to both CBS and Amazon for getting this app released in time for the Super Bowl and for ensuring it supports all Fire TVs, new and old.
Will first generation Fire TV Sticks eventually get CBS All-Access?
This App is garbage. Zero Live Streaming Sports. The only Major Net Work that does not stream Live Sports on its App. Garbage. Wake up CBS. Start Live Streaming Sports!
CBS sports is a waste of time. I have the fire tv stick and the only access with highlights and CFB predictions. I won’t be able to watch BAMA LSU this evening. Wasted app!
Go on you computer and you will be able to watch the game
Hey Alex I don’t feel like sitting at my computer watching football!! I wanna watch it on my 60in hd tv while sitting in my recliner with a cold drink in my hand! CBS needs to fix this. It’s a issue and as long as all the Alex’s keep saying “oh just watch it on the computer” this issue will not be resolved! It’s time to take a stand!
You can stream on CBS all access but you have to pay for for.I belive it’s 5.99 a month
Makes no sense that the phone app will let you stream live sports but this this pile of junk is worthless.
