Amazon has announced that Prime Day 2022 will be on July 12 & 13. Along with the announcement, Amazon has revealed a few of the Fire TV Smart TV deals that we’ll see this year for Prime Day. Some of these TV deals are quite impressive and are significantly lower than these TVs have ever been in the past. However, some of the TVs in the revealed deal list have actually been cheaper in the past. Here is a breakdown of each Fire TV Smart TV deal revealed for Prime Day and how it compares to past deals.
Before getting into the price breakdowns, it’s important to note that Prime Day sale prices on Fire TV Smart TVs tend to go live weeks before the official Prime Day dates. I expect some of these TV deals to be live as early as June 21st and another batch of TV deals to be live on July 4th or 5th. Unlike deals on Fire TV Sticks, the Fire TV Cube, and other Amazon devices which usually stay available during the entirety of the Prime Day sales event, Fire TV Smart TV deals do sell out and change constantly during Prime Day and the weeks that lead up to it. So it’s important to hop on deals early, especially the best ones that are lower than they have ever been in the past. I monitor prices around the clock and post about deals as soon as they go live and you can be the first to know about them if you sign up for my email alerts.
Amazon 4-Series Fire TVs
The best Fire TV Smart TV deals for Prime Day that have already been revealed are easily on Amazon’s own 4-Series Fire TV Smart TVs. These are Amazon’s own branded 4K TVs that are very likely manufactured by TCL. The only difference between the Amazon 4-Series TVs and the Amazon Omni TVs (discussed next) is that the Amazon Omni TVs have hands-free voice capabilities, like the Fire TV Cube, so you can just speak out Alexa commands without needing to use the microphone on the remote. The 65-inch and 75-inch Amazon Omni TVs also gain Dolby Vision.
The 43-inch Amazon 4-Series Fire TV has a list price of $369.99 and will drop to $199.99 for Prime Day, which is 46% off. The lowest price this TV has ever been in the past is $259.99, so Amazon is knocking an extra $60 off for Prime Day, which is quite significant. In other words, the Prime Day price will be 23% lower than this TV has ever been in the past.
Nearly as good of a deal as the 43-inch model, the 50-inch Amazon 4-Series 4K Fire TV will be $259.99 for Prime day, which is 45% off its regular price of $469.99. More importantly, the lowest this TV has ever been in the past is $299.99, so Prime Day is knocking an extra $40 off.
Lastly, the 55-inch Amazon 4-Series 4K Fire TV, the largest of the 4-Series models, will be $284.99 during Prime Day, which is also 45% off its regular price of $519.99. The lowest this TV has ever been in the past is $349.99, so you’ll save a full $65 more than ever if you buy it during Prime Day. That’s an extra 18% off its lowest ever price.
Amazon Omni Fire TVs
The only Amazon Omni TV deal revealed for Prime Day so far is the 55-inch Amazon Omni 4K Fire TV which will be on sale for $299.99, which is 46% off its regular price of $559.99. The lowest this TV has ever been in the past is $369.99, so Prime Day saves you an extra $70 off the lowest past price.
The Amazon Omni Fire TV also comes in 43, 50, 65, and 75-inch sizes. I expect all sizes to be on sale at some point during the Prime Day sale, but Amazon has only revealed the price of the 55-inch model. That 55-inch model is going to be 19% off its lowest past price during Prime Day, so, if you take roughly 19% off of each other size’s lowest past price (and round a bit), you get the following hypothetical Prime Day prices:
- 43-inch Amazon Omni 4K Fire TV: Hypothetical price of $229.99
- 50-inch Amazon Omni 4K Fire TV: Hypothetical price of $274.99
- 65-inch Amazon Omni 4K Fire TV: Hypothetical price of $399.99
- 75-inch Amazon Omni 4K Fire TV: Hypothetical price of $609.99
Remember, those prices are just guesses based on the 55-inch model. I expect the price guesses for the smaller 43-inch and 50-inch sizes to be pretty accurate, but the larger 65-inch and 75-inch sizes don’t usually drop as much as the smaller sizes, so those guessed prices are probably a bit lower than what they will actually be.
Insignia Fire TVs
There are a bunch of Insignia Fire TV Smart TVs, but Amazon has only revealed the price of two of them. The 24-inch Insignia 720p Fire TV will be $89.99 for Prime Day. While that is 47% off its regular price of $169.99, it’s actually not a great deal. That TV has been as low as $79.99 in the past and, as a 2020 model, it’s among the oldest Fire TV Smart TVs still being sold. $89.99 is still a pretty good price for a small TV, but it’s just not a new low like the TVs mentioned above.
The 32-inch Insignia 720p Fire TV will be $99.99 for Prime Day, which is 44% off its regular price of $179.99. The lowest price that TV has ever been in the past is $119.99, so the extra $20 off during Prime Day is a nice discount. That all assumes that Amazon is talking about the 2021 model when it revealed upcoming Prime Day deals because it didn’t clarify precisely which TV would be on sale other than saying it was an “Insignia 32-inch HD Smart Fire TV.” There is also a 2018 model 32-inch Insignia 720p Fire TV still being sold. That older model has been as low as $99.99 in the past, so Prime Day would just match that all-time low price if it’s the 2018 model going on sale.
Toshiba & Pioneer Fire TVs
Like Insignia Fire TV Smart TVs, there are numerous Toshiba Fire TV Smart TV models. Amazon has only revealed that the 75-inch Toshiba M550-Series 4K Fire TV would be on sale for $699.99 for Prime Day, which is a whopping 50% off its regular price of $1,399.99. However, this TV did already drop to $699.99 last month for a few short days, so the Prime Day price is just on par with past sales and not any better.
Lastly, Amazon revealed that the 43-inch Pioneer 4K Fire TV would be on sale for $199.99 for Prime Day, which is 37% off its regular price of $319.99. Like the Toshiba TV above, that also matches the lowest price it has been in the past, so Prime Day will not be any better. There is also a 50-inch Pioneer 4K Fire TV that will likely also be on sale for Prime Day, but Amazon has not revealed its price yet. Assuming it too will only match its lowest past price during Prime Day, you can expect it to be around $279.99.
Summary
It’s probably no surprise that Amazon’s own branded Fire TV Smart TVs will be offering the best deals during Prime Day, but what is surprising is that they will be significantly less than they have ever been in the past. If you’ve been thinking about buying any of Amazon’s own TVs, this year’s Prime Day will absolutely be the best time to do it. As for other Fire TV Smart TVs, like those from Insignia, Toshiba, Pioneer, and more, it seems like the Prime Dya prices on those TVs will be on par with how low the TVs have been in the past or slightly lower. As already mentioned, I keep track of all Fire TV Smart TV prices during Prime Day and constantly post about the best deals as soon as they go live so be sure to check back often, starting on June 21st when the first set of Fire TV Smart TV deals are expected to go live.
Do all of these TVs have 16GB of storage to install apps on?
No. 2021-2022 models have 16GB while 2020 and older have 8GB. Out of the TVs mentioned above, they all have 16GB except the 24in & 32in Insignia TVs, which have 8GB.
never understood why anyone would buy these
they are crappy lowest of the low end TV’s that have a fire TV device built in , so what you can buy a fire TV device for so cheap anyways
it is really not much of selling point th eonly thing you get is better Alexa integration
