In celebration of Force Friday, the highly-anticipated release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens merchandise, Amazon has put Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on sale for $2.99. That matches the lowest price this game has ever been. This game was first released on the original Xbox and has won numerous awards. Extra care has been placed to ensure the game detects the Fire TVs game controller and “adjusts the on-screen prompts to be intuitive for controller input instead of touch.” Rest assured that this is not a slimmed down mobile version of the game. It is the full original game. Due to the higher end graphics, the game is only compatible with the Fire TV and requires a game controller to play.
Anyone know if this game can see a bluetooth controller on my Fire Phone? Tempted to buy it for my phone (only have an incompatible Fire TV Stick) but don’t want to play with “touch” buttons.
Well, I went ahead and grabbed it for $2.99 and it does indeed allow me to use my Red Samurai (Android Bluetooth Controller) on my Amazon Fire Phone. Wonder if I can sideload it onto my Fire TV Stick and see if it works at all? Just because it doesn’t “officially” support Fire TV Stick doesn’t mean it won’t run at all, right? Will have to test it out some time this week.
Can the bulky files be moved to USB storage yet? Seems they couldn’t before, so you’d need nearly everything else cleared off your Fire TV to be able to install this.
