Sonic CD, considered by many to be the best Sonic game, is free for today only. The last time this game was free was in July. It has a great 4 star rating with over 600 reviews. It’s compatible with both the Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, but does require a game controller. If you haven’t picked up this game yet, this is a no brainer. Go grab it quick before it goes back to $2.99 tomorrow!

Downloaded it on the fire tv stick and started it… it was very slow and obviously there was lag in the game. I restarted the stick and it worked beautifully. I played the first level with the official fire tv controller and had I known about it sooner, purchasing it even for $2.99 would have been a no-brainer. One issue though is that the developer behind Sega CD is the same as Sonic 2 and I and others have found several bugs with the Sonic 2 port.
