Looks like the publishers of the brand new game Gods Will Be Watching, which was just released this morning, want to hit the road running. The game has just gone on sale for $1.99. This is a point-and-click adventure game which has you manage situations to escape alive. The game is compatible with all Fire TV devices and works with either a game controller or remote.

Anyone know if the new game pad has the same issues as the new remote? I need to buy a controller but don’t want it dropping out and disconnecting like my wifi remote. I may buy a couple of the old ones since they are still available.
I’ve been using mine since last week and it hasn’t dropped out. I live in an apartment complex as well so it’s pretty congested.
I have 3 AFTVs throughout the house. For something like this, and the Jackbox Party Pack, do I have to purchase 3 separate times, or can I just DL to the cloud and install on all 3 boxes?
Should be fine as long as they’re all under your account. I install stuff on both my Fire TV and Fire HD 7 with no problems.

It seems that only first chapter is available for $1.99. An others can be bought as IAPs. So it isn’t really a sale.
So it would have been $9.99 for the 1st chapter? Maybe the additional chapter purchases are “early unlock IAPs.” I haven’t finished the first chapter yet to find out.
Thanks. Just saved me $1.99. I noticed that it said “In-App Purchases” which always keeps me from purchasing. Too bad. I would have totally plunked down $1.99 for a full game.

You don’t. Until you buy it. Then you do. Deceptive marketing. Poor.
I just finished the first chapter and wouldn’t let me do anything except buy the second chapter. Had to force quit after that. I’m hoping this is a mistake and is how the mobile release will be. I enjoyed the ffirst chapter but wouldn’t have bought it if I knew I was only getting the first chapter.
Now it looks like they changed the price to just be $2 instead of saying it’s on sale. Pretty lame. The chapter is pretty short too. I’m gonna ask for a refund.

I got my refund an additional credit that would let me purchase all of the episodes. Amazon support is usually good about these things.
However, I don’t like that devolver digital was deceptive about this game. Especially since they usually charge the same price for mobile and pc games and never separated games into dlc episodes before this. Hotline Miami for instance is priced and sold exactly the same as pc.
What did you say to Amazon? Because I tried and they told me it was the developer’s fault and I needed to contact them (WTF)?
Initial Question: Bought game called “Gods Will Be Watching” which said it was on sale for $1.99 instead of $9.99. After I play the game I see it is only the first episode and I bought it at normal price for part of the game instead of sale price for the full game.
Also, after beating the first chapter I couldn’t go back to the main menu. The only option that worked was to purchase the second episode which I did not want to do.

The page for the game made it appear that I was getting the full game at a discount but then I find I was only getting part of the game.

This game is a ripoff. The one chapter you get is very short. Literally took me about 5 minutes to finish. It then almost forces you to buy the next chapter. Almost bought the next chapter by mistake. Had to hit the home button and force stop.
