Desert Ashes, a brand new turn based strategy game, is currently on sale for $0.99. The regularly $4.99 game was released last month and just got updated with Fire TV compatibility. The game features online and local multiplayer in addition to the single player campaign. It works with both the Fire Game Controller and Voice Remote, but is not compatible with the Fire TV Stick.

I downloaded and played for about a hour. Very cool old school TB RPG similar to Shining Force or Advance Wars. Has a single player campaign and also online VS. multiplayer which I haven’t tried yet. Looking at the screenshots, I wasn’t sure why this was not available for the Stick. Turns out the battle sequences are nicely animated with unique and detailed character models. It is obvious that the developers didn’t just throw this together to make a few bucks. Recommended.
