Amazon has put its top-of-the-line Fire TV Smart TV on sale early for Prime Day. You can get the 75-inch Amazon Omni QLED Fire TV on sale for $879.99, which is 20% off its regular price of $1,099.99. This is the new lowest price that this TV has ever been, beating out the last best sale by $20. The Omni QLED Series is Amazon’s highest-end TV model, above the the Omni Series, the 4 Series, and the 2 Series. It’s arguably the best Fire TV Smart TV you can buy, thanks to the inclusion of Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+ Adaptive support, which isn’t available on any other Fire TV model. This TV also has full array local dimming with 96 zones, which is the most of any other Fire TV. This TV also features hands-free voice control through built-in mics, an ambient light sensor for automatically adjusting the backlight based on how bright the room is, and a presence sensor for automatically turning the screen on and off when someone is in the room to display the Fire TV Ambient Experience that displays photos, art, and helpful widgets. It has 4 HDMI ports, of which one is eARC compatible, optical audio out, a headphone jack, 802.11ac WiFi 5, Ethernet, a USB port, and an IR blaster for controlling your other home theater equipment. It’s powered by the MediaTek T31 1.5 GHz quad-core CPU in most 4K Fire TVs with 2 GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. If you want the best TV with Fire TV built-in that comes with all the bells and whistles, this is the TV to get and in the largest sizes available at the best price that it has ever been.
Not that $800 for a 75″ set like this isn’t a good price, it is, but nowadays, that’s an average price in my opinion. Certainly not good enough to be called a Prime Day Deal, to me anyway. Last year’s sales spoiled me I guess, as I have not yet found anything I would want at a price I am willing to pay. We’ll see the closer we get, I suppose.
