Amazon has announced that they’ve expanding their FreeTime Unlimited library to include 3,000 new titles appropriate for children between the ages of 9 to 12 years old. Previously, the library of kid friendly videos, books, apps, and games, which now totals 13,000 titles, was primarily focused on 3 to 8 year olds. Subscribers with Fire TVs will now be able to watch shows like iCarly, Design Squad, and Big Time Rush. FreeTime Unlimited is Amazon’s kid-friendly subscription service that offers curated content for $2.99 per month, if you’re a Prime member, or $4.99 per month if you’re not.

Free Time is cool and all but is poorly implemented on Fire Tablets. Why is this not available for other tablets?

I bought the fire kids edition but had to return it as it has MAJOR STORAGE issues that make is unusable. Basically, apps re download over and over with no way to erase them other than a factory reset. Some sd card recognition error. Amazon has known about this for months and does NOTHING about it. I had to return my son’s Christmas present.

I should add that this problem was only with freetime and sd cards. Regular adult profile did not experience this.
