Amazon is launching its first live show, called Style Code Live, tonight at 9 pm ET/ 6 pm PT. The show is a 30 minute program about fashion and beauty that streams live Monday through Friday. The show is hosted by Lyndsey Rodrigues, Rachel Smith, and Frankie Grande and will have special guests like Danielle Bernstein, Meghan Trainor, and Keri Russell. Currently, you can only view it on Amazon’s website, but a mobile app is coming soon. There is no mention of when or if it will be available through the Fire TV.
A big part of the show is the interactive web experience, which is why it can’t simply be streamed like any other Amazon Video content. Viewers will be able to chat live with each other and the shows hosts. Additionally, a “style carousel” will be present, directly under the player, which highlights products available on Amazon being discussed on the show. There’s also a “love bag” which can be used by viewers to applaud segments, resulting in virtual confetti to be released in the live video.
FINALLY! THE WAIT IS OVER! Um, did I just exclaim that out loud? In all seriousness, the live interaction should be cool for viewers. Hopefully other shows will follow suit.
Pretty scary looking “thing” with the blonde hair on the left… gives me the creeps…
He’s a homosexual bleached blonde Italian-American attention whore originally from New Jersey. But he does help out a few charities and is generally a nice person.
I just dropped cable to get away from subsidizing this crap, and now it is following me. Ugh
