Amazon has introduced the Echo Dot Kids Edition. The hardware is identical to the regular Echo Dot but, much like the Fire Kids Edition tablets, it comes with extras oriented towards kids. Those extras include a kid-friendly case, which is available in blue, green, or red, and a 2-year worry-free guarantee. If anything should happen to the Echo Dot, Amazon says they’ll replace it with no questions asked.
Also included is a 1-year Amazon FreeTime Unlimited subscription, which normally costs $4.99 per month or $2.99 per month for Prime members. With the included FreeTime Unlimited plan, kids get access to ad-free kids radio stations from Disney and Nick, over 300 Audible audiobooks, premium kids Alexa skills, special alarms with kids characters, and more. Also included are all the FreeTime Unlimited benefits for Fire tablets, since the two devices use the same single plan. In addition to the paid FreeTime Unlimited features, Amazon has added many FreeTime features that are available for free to all Echo owners. Echo Dot Kids Edition is available to pre-order now for $79.99 and will ship on May 9th.

Wonder if it comes with protection from your kid ordering something
They need to create the children profiles, therefore we can specify what device is our child’s. Amazon if your listen you already created household just turn on the profile feature for kids and this will be so easy to adopt especially for people with a large amazon eco system in their home.
Exactly what the two previous commentators said. Dots are cheap anyway and they just sit there; kids don’t touch them. The case and the replacement plan aren’t really worth it in my opinion.
