Amazon has completely redesigned the way you browse and discover Alexa Skills through the Alexa app and the Alexa web portal. For starters, you can now browse Alexa Skills by one of twenty different categories. Some of the new categories are broad, like “Lifestyle” or “Productivity,” while others are fairly specific, like “Connected Car” or “Smart Home.” There are also now various lists to uncover popular skills like “Skills trending this week” and “Customer favorites.” Amazon is also curating some lists of skills, like the “Features skills” list which currently includes skills from Lyft and Honewell, which were just added today. The “Your Skills” area of the Alexa app and web portal has also been revamped to make it easier to sift through the list of skills you have enabled and all categories, lists, and searches can now be sorted by relevance, rating, or release date.
