Do I sense a Gen 3 Fire Cube in the works?

Just received an update here yesterday on my SmartTV. System Components for Settings. I wish they hadn’t done it. Completely useless.

If you go to >Settings >Installed Apps, you now have two new remote options when in list view. Description is on the left column. First option is to uninstall an app by pressing the forward button. Second one is to empty the app cache by pressing the backward button, plus confirmation.

Emptying the app cache results in 0 kb cache size. But if you open the settings of that app and go back, you’ll again have the the 16,38 kb, same as if you empty cache from within app settings, which you still can. And that’s why this new option is completely useless.

I’m wondering how stupid programmers can be. Wasted time on their side and also on our side. That’s why I hate updates. Most of the time it’s getting worse instead of better.

Oh and there’s also some new “information” added to the memory display. Elias will mention this, I guess. But again, also this is a joke. Just wasted space, if you’re asking me.
