Amazon’s sale of Prime Membership for $73 is now live. New members can save $26 off the regular price of $99 now through midnight on January 17th. Existing Prime members will not be able to take advantage of this promotion to extend their membership at the discounted price. For previous Prime sales, existing members could buy a gift membership at the discounted price and then apply it to their own account, but Amazon has closed this loophole and has explicitly said gift memberships are not eligible for this discount. It’s very rare for Prime membership to go on sale, so take advantage of this offer while you can.
