Amazon is having a sale on several of their Kindle models for Prime members. The regular Kindle is down from $79.99 to $49.99. My Amazon Device Pricing Guide puts that as a “great” price since that matches the lowest price this Kindle has ever been. The Kindle Paperwhite is down from $119.99 to $89.99. That too is a “great” price and matches the lowest price it has ever been. Lastly, the Kindle Voyage is down form $199.99 to $149.99. Again, this is the lowest this model has ever been. All discounts will appear at checkout and not on the product page.

Any word on a refresh for the Kindle Paperwhite hardware? I used to use the TTS feature on my Kindle Touch while driving by plugging the 3.5mm output into my vehicle input until the 3.5mm jack on my Kindle Touch broke. Amazon stopped including audio output, speakers or TTS after the Touch. It’s back, kind of, with a Kindle Audio Adapter for the 7th gen Paperwhite, the Oasis, and the Voyage. The entry level Kindle 8th gen includes bluetooth and VoiceView so you don’t need the adapter, but AFAIK this is not present in any of the more expensive models. I want to see a Paperwhite with bluetooth and VoiceView so I can read in the dark and also listen while driving without having to use an adapter.
