Amazon Prime Members now get discounts on select Video Games [Expired]

Amazon has quietly rolled out a new perk for Amazon Prime Members called Prime Member Savings which gives members discounts on “a variety of video games and related products”. There’s currently no way to see a list of all qualifying games and products. Right now, only console games and peripherals appear to be receiving discounts. The only indication that a product is discounted for Prime members is a “Save with Prime” logo and paragraph on the item’s product page. Even then, it is only during the checkout process that Amazon reveals how much of a discount you will receive. Some of the discounts are significant, like $10 off of Call of Duty: Black Ops III or $8.42 off Elder Scrolls Online, while others, like a whopping penny off a DualShock 4 controller, are downright comical. The discounts aren’t limited to older games either. Splatoon, which was just released carries a $6.97 discount while Halo 5: Guardians, which is available for pre-order and won’t be released until October, is discounted $7. Read on for the full list of discovered discounts and let us know in the comments if you find any others not listed.

Hm, looks like the PS4 Elder Scrolls Online isn’t discounted but the XBOX version is…bummer.

It seems only items sold by Amazon are discounted. If the item is listed by a third-party seller for a lower price than Amazon, then the third-party seller’s price will be displayed on the product page and it will appear that there is no Prime discount.
However, if you go into the other buying options and add the “sold by Amazon” listing to your cart, you will still see a Prime discount.
