If you’re eager to know what happens to the group of 4 friends in Amazon’s latest original series Mad Dogs, then the wait is almost over. The full 10 episode first season is set to stream on January 22 for Prime Members in the US, UK, Germany, and Austria. The series pilot, which is still available to watch, aired during Amazon’s 4th pilot season just under a year ago. Mad Dogs was greenlit a month later and has wrapped up production and is ready to stream next month.

I struggle to understand why the US Networks need to reinvent TV shows originally created in their own language. If I can be happy to watch US TV shows, why is there such a need to translate English shows into erm English shows. TBH Mad Dogs UK is pretty crap but hey ho. Theres a pretty long list of shows going left to right but no it must be changed for US audiences, so the lack of right to left kinda grinds….especially if it really looses its cutting edge in the process. That said, House of Cards for example works simple due to the originals, era setting. Mad Dogs was UK season 3 only a year or two ago.

Hardly an “original series”. It’s a remake!
