Amazon is now giving college students the option to pay for their Prime Student mebership on a month-by-month basis, instead of requiring them to pay annually. Students still receive an extra long free trial, at 6-months instead of 30-days, and they can still pay about half the price, at $49 annually instead of $99, but now they have the option to pay $5.49 per month instead. Paying $49 upfront will save students about 20% versus paying monthly for an entire year, but it gives students the flexibility to cancel their membership during months that they don’t need it. If students can live without Prime membership for at least 4 months out of the year, they’ll save by using the new monthly payment option.
Why not do something like this for seniors citizens. I spend a butt load of money buying from Amazon. Us seniors on fixed incomes could use a break on the cost.
