Amazon mistakenly sets Fire TV Stick 4K Max promo code to take too much off the price

A new promo code for the Fire TV Stick 4K Max went live yesterday that dropped the price of the device lower than it had ever been in the past. Entering “AddFTV” yesterday at checkout with a Fire TVStick 4K Max in your cart dropped the price of the device by $25 to $29.99. It seems as though that was a mistake because, at some time yesterday, Amazon updated the promo code to now only take $20 off of the device. While $34.99 is still a great price for the Fire TV Stick 4K Max and drops it to its Black Friday price from last year, count yourself lucky if you used the code early and saved the extra $5. It doesn’t seem like Amazon is canceling any orders which received the extra discount, like Amazon did when it accidentally let customers buy the Fire TV Stick 4K for free.

I knew I should have jumped at that offer. Oh well, just an extra $5, still a awesome device.

It all makes sense now. My 4k Max already arrived less than 24 hours later, obviously inventory is kept at a local hub near my home. Here I was complaining about not getting my additional 20% off from trade-ins. In the end a great deal, thanks again Elias!

They may have cancelled some orders, but we did receive ours at the promo price. We did have same day delivery though so maybe it got here too fast to cancel.
