As I predicted, Amazon has just put the Fire TV on sale for $79 to match Best Buy and Staples’s recent sale price. This is the lowest price Amazon has sold the Fire TV since the very short lived $69 cyber monday sale. Judging by the units received by readers earlier this month, it appears that most Fire TVs are still shipping with rootable software versions.
