Amazon launches Watch Party feature for co-viewing Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video has introduced a new Watch Party feature for group viewing sessions with up to 100 people. The feature allows Prime members to watch the same content with playback synchronized. Currently, it’s only compatible with Prime Video content and only through the desktop website.

To use the feature, find any Prime Video content through Amazon’s website and click the Watch Party icon near the top of the page. You’ll be asked to enter a name that will be displayed to other viewers of your Watch Party in a chat window. You’ll be given a link to share with friends and family to join your Watch Party. The host/creator of the Watch Party controls media playback that gets synced with everyone watching.

That’s awesome! I just posted this same suggestion on Andy Allo’s Instagram on Monday hoping show would offer to watch along and comment!

Anybody know how to make this work using the silk browser on a fire TV box and using the keyboard on the iPhone Amazon Fire TV app keyboard for chats?
