Amazon Rapids, the chat fiction app for kids that Amazon introduced late last year, is getting new “Signature Stories” which brings characters kids already know to the reading app. The new program is starting with a couple of Amazon’s own kid shows but Amazon hopes other popular kids characters will be added in the future, according to a report by TechCrunch. A story featuring characers from Niko and the Sword of Light and one for the show Danger & Eggs are the first two being released. They feature the voice talent of Aidy Bryant from Saturday Night Live and Tom Kenny who voiced SpongeBob SquarePants. An Amazon Rapids subscription costs $2.99/month or $29.99/year and comes with a 2-week free trial.
