Amazon glitch allowed Fire TV Stick 4K to be purchased completly for Free

The Fire TV Stick 4K is currently out of stock in the US because earlier this morning anybody could purchase it from Amazon for free. Around 6 A.M. PT, if you put the Fire TV Stick 4K in your Amazon cart, you would have found that your total at checkout was $0.00 without needing to enter a promo code or doing anything special. A discount, labeled as “Lumen/Century Link” for the entire cost of the device was automatically being applied to everyone’s purchase.

News of the glitch quickly made its way around all the major deal sites and forums and in less than an hour, the Fire TV Stick 4K was listed as “Temporarily out of stock” on Amazon. It’s not clear if all available supply was ordered or if Amazon noticed and artificially listed the streaming stick as unavailable.

Many of those who managed to place orders for a free Fire TV Stick 4K during the short window it was available are, unsurprisingly, now reporting that their order has been canceled. However, there are a few lucky people whose orders have already shipped and look to be receiving their free devices. It seems as though those who were able to order early and select same-day shipping are the ones most likely to actually be getting a free Fire TV Stick 4K.

I doubt they will honor the purchases, but lucky to anyone who got it if they honor them.

Amazon Canada didn’t even honour Boxing Day sale on Fire Stick.

It was reportedly damaged in transit and package was returned to Amazon who promptly cancelled my order and refunded the purchase. They did inform me and gave me the opportunity to re-order – of course item was no longer on sale. I didn’t as my I felt they should have honoured the original order and send me a replacement for the damaged item.

Just so you know. Amazon has the capability to disable the device no matter where it is or who allegedly owns it if it chooses to do so.

And you can reprogram a different serial number on the stick pretty easily, as I did on 10 4K sticks I bought for $5 ea. Of course I also got them when root was accomplished through a piece of aluminum foil.

I don’t know WHY Amazon won’t at least some of the Early shoppers free ones? I tried to return in Jan. Before 30 days! VERSACE YELLOW DIAMONDS 3.0 ounces PERFUME! Hadn’t been open still in plastic sealed wrap! For a refund they said no! I said it hasn’t been even opened yet, and yet they said just go ahead and keep it!! Will refund you the $60 you paid!! I said really! They said yes! I was totally surprised. I said really Ok! They are $60 each sent out, oh well their would have cost 1/3 amount shiping and compared to wahst I paid $60!

So I ordered one with slow shipping option where they would give me a $1 digital credit for picking the slow shipping option. Guess what? it was delivered along with the $1 credit. Go figure!

I have the two Toshiba Fire TVs and I don’t know if it’s hacked or if it’s a glitch but I am able to purchase all extra channels from Amazon Prime like Showtime, Cinemax, Discoverytv, you name it. If it’s a channel that can be purchased through Amazon Prime, I can get it. I get a message saying it will charge my card (it’s a debit card from my “Oxygen” bank account with no money) I click on continue and I get the channel. I also don’t pay for Amazon Prime, eventually my account cancels due to non payment but when I go to renew and hit continue to get charged to the same debit card it goes through! Has anyone else experienced something like this? I never jail breaked the TVs either. Also sometimes I’ll go a few days without being able to renew Amazon Prime or buy channels and I get a message saying I have to log in to a computer to continue my purchase but then after a few days I’m able to continue getting channels for free. It’s weird! I ain’t complaining but just wondering if it’s a glitch and if anyone else has experienced something similar.

Sorry I don’t think I explained myself right lol! The channels I get them for free even though I get a message saying that my card will be charged 7.99 or 8.99 a month depending on the channel I want to get, I then click on confirm and get the channel. The card it gets supposedly charged to is a debit card with no money on the account. And I do this through the Prime Video App on my Toshiba Fire TVs. Hope that made more sense haha
