It’s been a little more than a month since Amazon’s Fire TV Stick began shipping out to consumers on November 19th. I’m just now starting to see word that people who ordered after the initial 2-day $19 sale are beginning to receive their devices, indicating that Amazon is nearly finished fulfilling the massive number of initial pre-orders. Within a few hours of accepting pre-orders, Amazon was estimating shipping dates well into January 2015. It appears they were able to ramp up production enough to reduce those estimates by nearly a month. Right now, the Fire TV Stick product page states the device will be back in stock on January 6th. Orders placed today will arrive as early as January 8th.
I received mine this past Monday. It wasnt scheduled to ship until mid January. Came just in time to be sideloaded and wrapped up for Christmas.
Received mine on 12/22. Original delivery date was to be somewhere around the week of January 5th. I like that as soon as I switch the source on the TV to the Fire Stick it’s there. Previously I accessed Amazon, Netflix, etc through the Blue Ray player which takes some time to come on and establish the network connection.
