The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K is currently on sale for $39.99 on Amazon, down from $49.99, but some customers can get it for even less. If your account qualifies, you can get it for just $29.99. Just add the Fire TV Stick 4K to your cart and you may see an extra $10 discount automatically applied at checkout. If not, try entering promocode HELLOFTV to see if that causes the price to drop. The automatic discount and the promocode discount seem like two different targeted deals running simultaneously and it’s unknown what causes a customer to qualify for either one, so you’ll just need to try it out to see if the extra savings is available for you. $29.99 is a great price for the Fire TV Stick 4K because that’s the price it was during Prime Day and Black Friday last year. The Fire TV Stick 4K did drop to $24.99 once during Black Friday in 2019, but it seems like we’re never going to see a price that low again because that deal has never been repeated.
Precursor to a new Stick 4k coming in September/October? I hope so; I was expecting an updated version last year.
Timing it for this fall would be about right though: Amazon is probably itching to get their devices upgraded to support AV1 so they can save on bandwidth.
Not 25, but good price. If I didn’t already have 3 of them, plus 5 lites, 3 gen2 sticks, one gen 2 box, 2 AirTV minis, 1 Tivo Stream 4k, Chromecast wGTV, a 2015 Shield, and a couple of different Rokus, I’d get one.
At best they should be giving these away in conjunction with a promo deal for a streaming service like they did with the 3rd gen lite stick and Discovery +. The 4k stick is only running Android 7, while the 3rd gen sticks are running Android 9.
