Get this 2 x Fire TV Stick 4K Deal
Call it a late Black Friday deal or an early Cyber Monday deal, but Amazon isn’t done releasing new Fire TV sales. The latest deal being made available is a 2-pack of Fire TV Stick 4Ks for $59.99. Just add 2 to your cart and the extra discount will appear at checkout. As if one of the new streaming media players for $34.99 wasn’t a good enough price, this deal knocks an extra $10 off when you buy two, which makes each Fire TV Stick 4K only $29.99. If you already purchased one at $34.99 and want to add a second for just $25 more, I suggest placing an order for a second Fire TV Stick 4K for $34.99 and then contacting Amazon customer support to give you the $10 credit. You’ll want to place the order first because it’s easier for customer service to add credit to an existing order, than to modify a future order. Worst-case scenario, you just cancel the second order with a few clicks if they don’t offer to credit the difference. Still also available is a 2-Pack of Fire TV Sticks for $39.99.
Amazon is starting to annoy me with this crap. I think I am going to return the two sicks I bought last week, and repurchase them. It seems like a bad idea to have a sale, and then a better sale just a few days later, as it will only piss of those that just purchased the sticks.
Just did a chat with them, and amazon will not credit the difference. Told me to return and reorder them, so I guess that is what I will do. Frigging annoying.
If the order has already shipped/arrived, they definitely won’t apply any credits/discounts due to an active sale. They stopped doing that back in 2016 and made it officially against their policy because there were several automated services, like Paribus, that popped up that would automatically detect price drops for items you purchased and email Amazon for you to ask for a refund of the difference. Basically, these services ruined it for everyone by taking advantage of Amazon’s willingness to give credit after price changes.
If the order is pending, that’s much more likely to get you a post-order discount, but it’s still up to the niceness of the customer service rep.
Okay, I am sending the two original FTVs back, and placed a new order. It will save me the $10, plus tax, plus I should beable to get the additional 5% with my Amazon card with that promo. I still think offering two sales back to back with different pricing is dumb.
I 100% agree having a sale and a better sale right after is not a good practice and even more so when they won’t do a price adjustment like some other companies with better customer service (i.e. Costco)do.
Bought two sticks yesterday so upon seeing this I called Amazon, was super nice (maybe I shouldn’t have been) and they told me they won’t do the credit so this article needs a disclaimer that its not as easy as “contacting Amazon customer support to give you the $10 credit.” I’ve been a member since 2005 and have spent more money at Amazon then most do on a new car. Its a matter of principle and taking care of your customers…not so much the $10.
Amazon has good service but not nearly as good as Costco, I purchased an item and months later was simply shopping and saw my item cheaper said something to my wife, a Costco employee over heard us and said go to the front and tell them, 5 minutes later they credited the difference and even told us if that ever happens again they always do right by their customers. Amazon needs to go to Costco customer service training IMO :)
Sorry in advance for the mini-book :)
…”and have spent more money at Amazon then most do on a new car”… What I wouldn’t give to have your problems.
I was just testing waters with one of them and now with this drop it’s time to replace the remaining 2nd gens.
