Amazon Fire TV passes Chromecast to be the Best Selling Streaming Media Player

For the first time since I’ve been tracking it (and possible the first time since its release in April), the Fire TV has passed the Chromecast to be the best selling streaming media player on Amazon. No doubt this victory is due to the current $84 sale price of the Fire TV along with yesterdays 1-day only student price of $64. It’s great to see that these sales are actually moving Fire TVs off the warehouse shelves. It bodes very well for the future of the Fire TV and its app ecosystem.

I have all of those. Been working on streaming TV since 2003 with the first XBOX mods. FTV is the best so far. Chromecast I barely use as it requires me to get on the computer first.
