Amazon Fire TV Game Controller on sale for $34.99 — Very Rare Sale and New Lowest Price Ever

Look out the window because you might see pigs flying. That’s because the Fire TV Game Controller is on sale for $34.99. This is an extremely rare occurrence because Amazon’s first-party gamepad hardly ever goes on sale. The last time it was on sale was in 2016 for $39.99. Not only is this a rare sale, it’s also the new lowest price that it has ever been. One day you’ll tell your grandkids that you were around when the Fire TV Game Controller was on sale for $34.99 and they’ll call you a liar.

The Fire TV Game Controller is a fantastic and very well made gamepad that feels as good as the PlayStation and Xbox controllers, which is probably why it hardly ever goes on sale. It is compatible with all generation Fire TVs and Fire TV Sticks. Before you ask, yes, it is also compatible with the new Fire TV Cube. The only devices it is not compatible with are the Fire TV Edition televisions. The last thing you should know is that the built-in headphone jack only works with the Fire TV 2, but other than that, all functionality works with all Fire TV devices, including the built-in Alexa microphone.

Would the AFTV game controller work with Apple iOS games that support Bluetooth? Has anyone tried using it with their PS3/4 or Xbox 360/One.

Bummer you can’t use it on PC or anything else besides a Fire TV. It’s a really nice controller.

I was one of the suckers that bought the gaming edition of the Fire TV 2 and have been using it since launch. Use rechargeable batteries, put the device to sleep when you’re done & set the controller flat on a hard surface. Alot of people complain about battery life without realizing that the controller aggressively sleeps on its own and it will wake up through the gyroscope.

Only complaint is that mine has developed a rattle.

I’m assuming no, but I’ll take a shot anyway: What about the fire tablets? Will it work with them?

The original AFTV game controller used Bluetooth, didn’t it? What’s the advantage of that? Does that work with AFTV2/3?
