Get this Fire TV Game Controller Deal
The official Amazon Fire TV Game Controller has just gone back on sale for $19.99. This matches the lowest price it has ever been, which is $30 off the regular price. This could be considered a fire sale for the controller, since it is no longer compatible with new Fire TV models. This game controller currently only works with the Fire TV 1, Fire TV 2, Fire TV Stick 1, and Fire TV Stick 2. Of those four devices, the Fire TV Stick 2 is the only one Amazon still sells. Amazon has hinted to me that they will possibly restore compatibility with some of the newer Fire TV models, but you should base your purchasing decision on its current compatibility. it’s a shame because the Fire TV Game Controller truly is a great gamepad. Despite Amazon dropping support for it with newer devices, I still highly recommend it to those of you with older models, especially the Fire TV 2 box, since that’s the only model that the built-in headphone jack works with.

Does anybody know if there is a hack or way to get this controller to work on non Amazon android devices?
Example being an Android TV box like a MiBox.
The controller uses WiFi-Direct, instead of Bluetooth, so it does not work with anything but the listed Fire TV models.
Can this work on insignia fire tv edition?
No, it does not work with any of the Fire TV Edition televisions.

Withdrew support with no explanation! Still ticked about this and it is why I won’t be buying the new 4k Stick.
There must be a way to restore compatibility, especially on rooted devices.
