The modding community is alive and well around this tablet. You can install ROMs, like Cyanogenmod, and install the Google Play Store to get more functionality from this very inexpensive tablet.

Anyone have one of these? Thinking of buying one for my father so that he can “surf the web” using WiFi on his lunch breaks. Would this be a good fit for that? Thanks.
It’s a solid tablet as long you care about speed. It can be kinda slow at times when loading certain things. WiFi is only single band, so pretty slow all the time. The screen has nice brighhtness, viewing angle, and color. Not faded looking like a lot of cheap China tablets in this price range.
i did i have one and bought my dad one too
mine is on 5.0.1 and his is on 5.1.1 i rooted and flashed resurrection remix rom on both and installed xposed framework on both,only 5.0.1 has TWRP though
they work pretty well the only problem that i have found is that after a few weeks the screens have got a pretty bad ghosting/image burn in issue
and one has a dead pixel , besides that it is a great tablet ,especially if you root and flash a custom rom

i’d rather but one from bestbuy i know it will be on 5.0.1
