Amazon Echo Dot + Harmony Hub package on sale for $89.99 — Today Only [Expired]

Today only, you can purchase the Amazon Echo Dot with a Harmony Hub for $89.99 from Best Buy. First you need to click here and login to the “My Best Buy Member Offers” page. From that page, click the “Get Offer” button to save $10 on an Echo Dot. Next, add a Black Echo Dot or White Echo Dot to your shopping cart. Then, add the Harmony Hub to your shopping cart and begin checking out. During checkout, be sure to click the “Apply” button on the payment method page to save the additional $10 on the total. The Harmony Hub will automatically be discounted by $50 and the Echo Dot will be discounted by $10 when you click the apply button, for a total of $89.99. Not that this offer is for the Harmony Hub alone, without a remote. This will allow you to control your devices with Alexa or the free Harmony app on your phone, in addition to your regular remotes. If you don’t need the physical Harmony remote, this is the best deal I’ve seen for the hub alone, assuming you’re in the market for an Echo Dot.

This is a good deal. I have two harmony hubs and their integration with Echo is getting better all the time. Someday perhaps both the echos and the harmony hubs will be able to distinguish which echo and which hub you mean to control.

it is a good deal but i am more than happy with my broadlink RM pro
that i only paid $26 for ,sure it requires an always on android device running a $7 bridge app and does not do bluetooth but i much prefer
using native voice commands as opposed to having to invoking a skill
“alexa ask harmony to —-” is too much syntax
with the broadlink i just say alexa TV on or alexa turn n FOX or alexa turn on ABC ,harmony also has no RF control , RM pro has no bluetooth control
but hardly any devices use bluetooth ,
since i have an always on android device running the rm pro bridge app i just install anymote which can control my wifi connected devices like my fire tv sticks and create macros

I have a harmony 650 and harmony one, how does the Hub work in these instances or is the Hub just to be able to use the echo or the harmony app instead, regardless of your remotes? I’d love to control the tv (chane channel, adjust volume) just by asking Alexa.
Can someone explain how this would work? Thx!

I have the Harmony Hub and you can control off/on , channels and volumen with voice commands, there are two skills and you need to use.

One thing i really dont like is that i can not find a way to have the fire tv start an application , you have to actually use the remote to do it.
