Now that Amazon has sold out of Echos after dropping the price to $99.99 a couple weeks ago, they’ve moved on to clear out refurbished units. The Certified Refurbished Amazon Echo has just dropped down to $79.99. That’s $50 less than the previous price of $129.99 and is the lowest price Amazon has ever priced any version of the Echo. If you can still get in on the $69.99 Amazon Echo sale at QVC, you’re better off going that route because that’s for a new unit, but if that sells out or if you prefer buying directly from Amazon, this price for a refurb Echo is hard to beat. Amazon is expected to announce a new Echo later this year, which is likely why several retailers seem to be clearing out stock with rock bottom prices. It’s pretty safe to bet the new Echo will not be less than $100, so these fire sale prices are still a great deal even if a new model is coming out soon.
