The majority of the various Fire TV Smart TV models have already been on sale for weeks now, but Amazon saved a few models to trickle out later. Going on sale this morning are the rest of Amazon’s own 4K Fire TV Omni Series TVs that have hands-free Alexa control as their standout feature. Starting at the cheapest is the 43″ Fire TV Omni on sale for $239.99, which is 41% off the regular price and is $45 less than it has ever been in the past. Next is the 50″ Fire TV Omni on sale for $279.99, which is 45% off its regular price and $60 less than it has ever been in the past. The 55″ Fire TV Omni went on sale for $299.99 a few days ago and is still available. That’s 46% off and $65 less than all past deals for that model. Unfortunately, the good deals on Omni Series TVs ends there because while the 65″ is listed for $499.99 and the 75″ is listed for $749.99, those “Prime Day Deals” are bullshit and borderline deceptive. Those two largest sizes have been available at those prices to anyone for litterally months now. Amazon just flipped them to be “Prime Exclussive Deals” this morning without actually dropping the price, which is just down right scummy. The 43″, 50″, and 55″ sales are legitimit deals that are worth considering, but skip on the 65″ and 75″ sizes for now to see if they actually do get cheaper between now and the end of Prime Day on Wednesday. All Fire TV Omni Series TVs feature identical specs, except for the 65″ and 75″ models which are the only ones with support for Dolby Vision. They are all 4K TVs that support HDR10 and HLG video. As mentioned, these all have a microphone array that allows you to issue hands-free Alexa commands without needing to use the remote’s microphone. To go along with the hands-free voice capabilities, they come with an optional IR blaster which can be used to extend the TV’s hands-free control to your soundbar or AV receiver. The only other Fire TV Smart TV models that have these hands-free capabilities are the Toshiba M550 models. If you don’t care much for the hands-free capabilities, then consider getting one of the Amazon 4-Series Fire TV Smart TVs instead, which have identical specs as the Omni Series TVs but don’t have a mic array for voice control.

Powering these TVs is the same MediaTek MT9020 (MTK T31) quad-core 1.5 GHz CPU and Mali-G52 MP1 504 MHz GPU that is found in nearly every Fire TV Smart TV. They all have 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. There are 4 HDMI ports, of which one is eARC capable, and they have 802.11ac WiFi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, optical audio out, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB 2.0 port. They also support Apple AirPlay and Miracast for mobile casting and they run Fire OS 7.

These Omni Series TVs, as well as their 4-Series cousins, are technically branded as Amazon’s own in-house TVs, but there is strong evidence that they are made by TCL. Neither Amazon nor TCL has publicly confirmed this to be the case, but the evidence is abundant when looking at port layout and internal teardowns. I mention this because there are other Fire TV Smart TV models from Insignia and Pioneer with identical or better specs than Amazon’s own TVs for less money, the consensus is that these being TCL TVs puts them slightly above other cheaper Fire TV Smart TVs when it comes to quality, which explains the slightly higher price.
