Alexa on both the Amazon Echo and Fire TV has gained Discovery News, a.k.a. DNews, as its latest source for news in its flash briefing feature. You can go into the Alexa app or Alexa web portal and tick on the new Discovery DNews option to hear about news related to technology, space, and science. Once you’ve enabled your flash briefing sources, simply ask “Alexa, what’s new?” to hear your flash briefing. Alexa gained Bloomberg and CNN news sources a couple months ago, so the selection of news available through Alexa is growing steadily.
