Alexa can now play Podcasts from Spotify in 11 more countries

About a year ago, Alexa gained the ability to play podcasts from Spotify in the US. That capability is now also being made available in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, India, Austria, and Ireland. Once you have Alexa linked to Spotify, you’ll be able to say “Alexa, play [podcast name] podcast on Spotify” to start listening. Easy as that. Once the podcast episode is playing, you should be able to use the usual podcast commands to control playback.

Been working in the Uk for over a month, but didn’t see anything formally announced then

I’ve used that feature in the past in the U.S., though, with some limitation.

About the best my FTV seems to be able to do is play the most recent episode of whatever podcast I might be asking for.

Any efforts on my part to get the FTV via Alexa to play a particular episode of a particular podcast by episode number seemed to fail.

What about other countries that not in the list? Could them use the tool like DRmare Spotify Music Converter to put Spotify music on Alexa for playing?

When will Alexa and Spotify be used in China? Currently, I have to use AudKit Spotify Music Downloader to get Spotify download songs and manually stream them to my Alexa.

A suggestion for other 200 countries or regions: Use a Spotify downloader like TunesKit Spotify Music Converter if you want to listen to Spotify on Alexa.
