A handy new Android app called AGK Fire has been released that allows you to install/transfer any app currently on an Android device to an Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick. If you own an Android smartphone or tablet, this is a very convenient way to get apps from the Google Play store installed onto a Fire TV without rooting. AGK Fire can even be sideloaded onto a Fire TV and used to install Fire TV only apps onto a Fire TV Stick. You can download AGK Fire for free from the developer’s XDA thread. I’ll have guides on using AGK Fire up soon.
Update
My guide on using AGK fire is now up. See it here.
So, then this is kind of an easier way than side loading as well, right? Except for cases like XBMC/Kodi that aren’t on any app store.
Yup, but it also works for XBMC since you can download the APK to your phone/tablet and can still use this app to install it on your Fire TV.
Kodi is in the app store
Can AGK be used to move app data as well?
Is there any way to do this through an iphone??
Ha ha ha ha iPhone
I wasn’t having any luck getting KODI installed on my new AFC until late I tried this APP.It worked great! Thank you so much.
The progress bar sucks. It’s just spinning, and that doesn’t mean it’s working.
