I’m also from Germany and already rooted my 1st gen FTV with the eMMC Adapter. Before you throw it away you could let me try to fix it. Feel free to contact me, myusername @ offsy.de

I like the idea of having an Amazon “Alexa” device that is always listening but I don’t want “Amazon” to always be listening. It would be great if I could tricker internally with a key word and have my own device then trigger the Alexa service to listen.
Put a 3,5mm Audio Out port on it and i’ll buy it,
becouse manny TV’s only have Toslink Audio Out and in europe (at least) the majority of sold Speakers use only 3,5 Audio Plug.
Also a ‘non used’ miniUSB port would be nice.
