Access to Amazon Appstore on Windows 11 begins rolling out

Starting today, Microsoft is opening up access to a preview of the Amazon Appstore within the Microsoft Store on Windows 11 PCs. The partnership between Microsoft and Amazon was first revealed last June and access has only been possible to those in the Windows 11 Insider Program. More importantly, only about 50 apps were available previously but now there will be more than 1,000 apps available with this wider rollout. Once the update arrives on your PC, you should be able to simply open the Microsoft Store on a Windows 11 device and search for Android apps to install as you would any other PC application.

Not available for me yet, I updated to Windows 11 about a month ago. The update was somewhat problematic but finally completed after several hours, my PC is less than a year old. I’ve been reading about this feature for months but did not realize it was a joint venture with Amazon. Most of the Microsoft Forums make it seem like it was all Microsoft’s doing and Amazon is a footnote. I assume this is to win over consumers so they will migrate away from Google Chromebooks/Apple Macbooks

Has anyone else received this update yet? I have a fairly new HP Windows 11 PC, I followed the instructions, my Microsoft Appstore is up to date but there is no Amazon Appstore to be found. When I search for any Amazon App I am presented with 3 choices: Prime Video, Amazon Music and Alexa, that’s it.
Is this a “phased” role out over weeks/months?
