One of the few Fire TV Smart TVs that has not gone on sale yet for Prime Day has just gone on sale this morning. The 55-inch 4K Amazon Fire TV 4-Series TV is now on sale for $284.99 as an early Prime Day deal. That’s 45% off the regular price of $519.99. More importantly, because Fire TV Smart TVs are constantly on sale, this deal is $65 lower than this TV has ever been in the past, making it a legitimately great deal. This TV is part of Amazon’s own brand of smart TVs which were released late last year and are almost certainly manufactured by TCL, which puts them a step above similarly speced TVs from Insignia and Toshiba. This is a 4K 2160p TV with support for HDR10, HLG, and AV1 decoding. It’s powered by the same MediaTek MT9020 (MTK T31) quad-core 1.5 GHz CPU and Mali-G52 MP1 504 MHz GPU as nearly every Fire TV Smart TV. It has 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. There are 4 HDMI ports, of which one is eARC capable, and it has 802.11ac WiFi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, optical audio out, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB 2.0 port. It also supports Apple AirPlay and Miracast for mobile casting and runs Fire OS 7. Alternatively, you can get the 55-inch 4K Amazon Fire TV Omni for $299.99 which is identical except it also includes a mic array for hands-free voice control. There’s also the 55-inch 4K Insignia F30 Series Fire TV on sale for $279.99, but I’d choose the Amazon 4-Series for $5 more due to it getting new features sooner and being made by TCL.
