Fire TV in the 2022 Lincoln Navigator
The Ford Motor Company is the latest automaker to make a deal with Amazon to bring built-in Fire TV rear-seat entertainment systems into its vehicles. Fire TV for Auto, as it’s officially called, first debuted in the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. It has since also been made an option for the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica minivan and it will be available in the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the three-row Grand Cherokee L. Now Ford and Amazon have revealed that the 2022 Ford Expedition and the 2022 Lincoln Navigator will also come with built-in Fire TV systems as an option.
Fire TV in the 2022 Chrystler Pacifica
Amazon first revealed its intention to bring Fire TV to vehicles at CES 2020. At the time, partnerships with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, now known as Stellantis, and BMW were mentioned but specific vehicle models we not named. About 2 years later, Stellantis has now already integrated Fire TV into 3 of its models, the Jeep Wagoneer, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Chrysler Pacifica. Ford is next to deliver its Fire TV enabled vehicles with the aforementioned 2022 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. There has been no mention of which BMW vehicles will gain Fire TV systems, or when they will arrive, but Amazon says there is “more to come later today” so it may not be long before that is revealed.
Update
This article previously incorrectly stated that the Ford Explorer would have Fire TV integration, when, in fact, it is the Ford Expedition that will have Fire TV integration.
