WE TV app arrives on all Amazon Fire TVs and Fire TV Sticks

Most major cable networks have already released apps for the Amazon Fire TV line of devices, but there are a few smaller networks that still aren’t on the platform. The newly added WE TV app is the latest from a traditional cable network to be released. WE TV is part of the AMC Network and primarily contains content focused towards women. Like most cable network apps, the WE TV app requires you to login with a cable provider in order to unlock all of the available content. AMC Network recently released a BBC America app, so hopefully we’ll see other apps from the network arrive, like an IFC app and a Sundance TV app, which are not yet available.

We don’t get that in the UK ,that stinks!

We have just made major switch to our tv viewing, Amazon Fire Stick. We tv app was one offered. Said nothing about having to have cable tv which was the whole point of getting the stick and only keeping internet. Is there not anyway to watch shows without cable tv? We have spectrum internet and this has really made me feel we were mislead.
